Sabine Springer
Sabine Springer is a project manager at the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and works on older persons' rights, age discrimination, youth participation and intergenerational fairness. She is responsible for the report "Fundamental rights of older people: ensuring equal access to public services in digital societies" published in 2023.
She is a statistician and demographer and gained international experience working with UNFPA in Nigeria and UN-HABITAT in Kenya. Marta C. Lourenço
Marta C. Lourenço is the director of the National Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Lisbon (MUHNAC). She teaches Material Culture of Science in the Masters of History and Philosophy of Science (Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon) and is a research member of CIUHCT, the Interuniversity Research Centre for the History of Science and Technology (University of Lisbon) and the national coordinator of PRISC (Portuguese Research Infrastructure of Scientific Collections).

Vânia de la Fuente-Núñez
Dr. Vânia de la Fuente-Núñez is an international expert on healthy ageing and ageism. A doctor and an anthropologist, Vânia currently works as independent senior consultant, offering technical and strategic advice to governments, and public and private entities in different countries to help improve the lives of older people and address ageism. Vânia is the author of the book on ageism titled ‘La Trampa de la Edad’ and is a regular contributor to media outlets such as El País, CNBC, La Vanguardia, and RTVE.
Anthony De Giovanni
Following a long teaching and education administration career, Anthony served as National Director of Education responsible for Lifelong Learning and Adult Basic Skills.
On retirement, Anthony pursued legal studies at the University of Malta graduating and joining the Bar at 69 years of age. He is very active in NGOs promoting the rights of older persons and is a member of the advisory Council of the Malta Commissioner for Older Persons. Anthony is vice president of AGE Platform Europe and of the European Senior Organisation. |
Judith Ish-Horowicz
A passionate advocate for intergenerational relationships, Judith is co-founder of Apples and Honey Nightingale, the first co-located intergenerational nursery in an care home in the UK with a focus on daily, mutually beneficial engagements. In 2023, judith opened AHN Education and Training which specialises in designing and delivering accredited training in intergenerational practice. She was awarded an MBE in 2010 for services to early years education and the Macrosad Intergenerational Ambassador Award, 2nd edition in 2024.
